The Wise Woman Builds Her House

The-Wise-Woman-BLOG

“For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ” (I Corinthians 3:9-11 NIV).

Ladies, we need to build ourselves up to reflect the royalty status we possess from the Most High God. In order to do this, we must be an expert builder – one who builds her house upon the Rock. Ultimately, our goal is to please the King – to act like the royalty we already are, and to build ourselves up to be holy and blameless princesses who reflect God’s glory to everyone around us.

We need to be“…like a [wo]man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built” (Luke 6:48 NIV). Even though we are God’s daughters, trials will still come into our lives; but when we are solidly built, the situations we encounter will not shake us.

For the next two weeks we will look at some keys to building ourselves up so that we can be all we are meant to be as princesses in God’s Kingdom:

  1. A Foundation on Godly Principles

A strong foundation, using the best materials, is essential in any housing development. It takes a firm foundation to build financial wealth, a great ministry, a career, and strong, lasting relationships. As daughters of the King, we should begin to build ourselves by ensuring that our foundation is laid by Jesus Christ, who is the cornerstone and our solid rock. Once our priorities are straight and everything is based on Him, we can strive to build our lives on the faith and love of God – not only for ourselves, but for those around us and our community as a whole.

  1. Create an Architectural Plan

Knowing what we want allows us to design a layout and create a plan of action for success. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” (KJV). Every good builder uses a detailed plan for completing a building project. This plan details the various milestones, costs, timelines, resources, and dependencies. Successful architects write down their goals based on their expectations and hopes for the finished product. They implement their dreams and watch their architectural plan take form from their initial drawing. As princesses in God’s royal family, we should know who we are and create an architectural plan for achieving true success.

  1. Embrace Teamwork and Unity

It is essential that we acquire the knowledge and expertise of the best contractors and subcontractors in any building project. The ability to delegate work and be in harmony with others is a great trait in building an empire. We all have specialties and unique skill sets. In my business, I rely a great deal on the expertise of others to implement my clients’ projects based on their unique requirements. My company’s success is actually mostly achieved when I focus on what I can do best. Living in unity with others and embracing teamwork helps us to build ourselves in a most unique way. Romans 12:5 says, “So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” (NIV).
