The King’s Daughter – Part 2

The-Kings-Daughter

When you are changed, it’s because you have allowed Jesus to become the King and Ruler of your life. Is He ruling over every area of your life, or are you still ruling certain areas? He wants to be the King of your whole life. Surrendering everything to our King isn’t always easy. We don’t mind surrendering some things, but we battle when it comes to things we hold close and don’t want to totally give up. Have you ever cried secret tears or agonized in prayer on your knees to release an area of your life that you knew wasn’t pleasing to God? He knows your deep secrets. Women are good at having secrets, and there is only one place to share them – with your King, your Lord, and the lover of your soul. He wants to set you free from hurts, sorrows, and the sin that tries to keep you bound. The greatest deliverances are the ones that take place in private – in a secret place with Him. Go to Him, seek Him, and daily search His Word until the thing that would rule you is broken and you have surrendered everything to your King who loves
you more!

The world’s message is a conflicting message of what a woman should be. It teaches us to think about “me” and only what I want. It imposes self-pleasure as the ultimate right of a woman. It hides and covers the brokenness that takes place from living like this. The shattered lives of women and those close to them are never really revealed when they embark upon pleasures that are in contradiction to the Word of God. The media and prominent figures of the world suggest that being “tough” and “doing your own thing” is the way to live your life. God’s message of love is just the opposite! The Bible says: “For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10b NIV). It’s His power in me that creates true godly and righteous strength! Galatians 5:23 lists “meekness” as one of the fruit of the Spirit. Do you know what “meekness” is? Meekness is “strength under control.” Being meek is a wonderful thing because you know where your strength comes from, and you handle it appropriately – regally, like a King’s daughter!

In God’s kingdom, the rules are different, and the results are peace. Truly, we have entered into a royal kingdom! The Bible declares in 1 Peter 2:9 that we are “…a royal priesthood” (KJV). Colossians 1:13 tells us: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son” (KJV). Also, 1 Thessalonians 2:12 reminds us that we have been called into His kingdom and glory!

Because you have received Jesus Christ as your Savior, you have entered into a wonderful and glorious kingdom with a King! This is not a fairy tale or a myth, but it is a true reality of our spiritual kingdom and inheritance. You are a part of a royal family! Your King is a loving King and a loving Ruler! He is not mean, harsh, or unjust. His power is love! The power of His love sets you free – free from hurts, failures, and sin. It breaks the chains of bondage! His love frees you from low self-esteem and feelings of worthlessness. His love is mighty, everlasting, and powerful!

He loves you so much that He has even given you, His daughter, a tower! The King, your Heavenly Father, gave you a tower! Proverbs 18:10 states: “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe” (KJV). When you call on His name or cry unto Him, there is a safe place to hide! Just call on the name of Jesus, your King!
