Nurturing a Strong Relationship with Your Husband – Part 1

Nurturing-Full-Spread-2

The Proverbs 31 woman is a strong and powerful woman. She has crafted a life of skillfully managed priorities, productivity, and relationships – especially a healthy and rewarding relationship with her husband. Whether a woman works outside the home in a career or job, or works within the home raising children and tending to the home, she has to know how to skillfully prioritize her life in order to nurture a fulfilling and strong relationship with her husband and children. If a woman’s husband and children feel neglected because of work or other activities she is involved in (no matter how noble the activities may be), they will begin to resent and pull away from her.

So how does this woman accomplish all of this? Join me as we explore how to nurture a strong relationship with your husband and still manage to keep a level head.

She knows that she is her husband’s helper

A strong woman knows that God created Eve as a “help meet” for Adam. This is one of our primary functions as a wife – to be a helper to him and serve his needs in this fashion. There is no job, career, or other family obligation that negates this function. The wise woman knows when to pull away from an activity to support her husband’s needs so that he does not feel like he is left alone. In Genesis 2:18, God said: “…It is not good that the man should be alone…” And, He continues with a solution: “…I will make him an help meet for him” (KJV). The solution? You!
