Worship – Pastor Gayla Bagwell

As you listen to the Michael W. Smith “Worship” CD this week, I believe true worship will fill your soul. These are older songs we are all familiar with, and the anointing on them is life changing. If you take time to worship in the presence of the Lord, you will find the answers that you seek. Many of us are taking on the challenge to create a place in our homes to meet with Jesus every day. Consider setting up a special chair where you can go and pray, read the word, and worship. An inviting space helps us to engage with the most important part of our life. Worship. It reminds us to meet with our savior daily. However, an outdoor space in the summer months or earbuds on a personal walk can also bring the closeness that is needed. The word of God teaches us in the Lord’s Prayer, …..”Give us this day, our daily bread.” We must daily seek the Lord and inquire of him. As we eat natural food to nourish our bodies, we must also eat “the bread of life” to nourish our souls. John 6:35, Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (NIV).

Amen!!! We were created to daily fellowship, worship, praise and offer thanksgiving to our Father, no matter what our circumstances look/feel like. Praise and worship change our outlook and then our circumstances! Plus, it just feels good to lose self in His presence!
